Rants of a Broke Nigerian Bachelor

Colonialism caused more than economic exploitation, infrastructural retrogression or political anarchy in the colonies. 2.InNigeria, the goal of the British was to exploit natural resources and other state resources for the British government. 3. The British also ruled solely as the royal power in England directed, regardless of whether it favoured the people. 4. Nigerians turned ou to be selfish, greedy, corrupt, low self esteem, suspicious and envious of one another because of the colonial style of leadership. 5. This style of leadership continues today and will need a hard reset to change for the better.
Hypersexualization of the Media
1. The world is plunging so fast into moral depravity. 2. This depravity is heavily sponsored by the ubiquitous presence of sexual content in today's media. 3. Excessive exposure to sexually suggestive content in all forms of media will further draw society into moral decline and disorderliness. 4. It is already negatively affecting people's self esteem, dignity, creating insecurities, sexual orientations, and destroying pure human connection. 5. The economic reward for sexually suggestive content must be cut off with laws and enforcement of the same, to deliver society from this moral rot.
ON LOVE and RELATIONSHIPS
1. Every person wants romantic affection. It happens and it is always spontaneous. 2. Relationships are ignited by the sweet, overwhelming spark of affection and feeling of infatuation. 3. Sustaining a relationship needs serious intentional commitment, beyond this feeling of infatuation. 4. People give up easily in a relationship when faced with conflict, and it should not be. 5. An enduring, loving relationship requires daily mutual commitment to the other person.
THIS LIFE and AFTERLIFE
1. Humans have longed to know what happens after death. 2. We have created burial rites and rituals around the occurence of death. 3. Many cultures and religions belive that death is a transition to an afterlife, not end final end. 4. Human long for a blissful afterlife becasue of the troubles of this world. This desire influences everything we do here. 5. If humans would do right by others, we would not have so much troubles in this world.
BROKEN CHILDREN, BROKEN ADULTS
1. We have access to education on virtually every aspect of human life. 2. Education on parenting is very insignificant or not consciously heaving published as it should. 3. Many parents are ignorant about a child's emtional, mental and psychilogical needs at differnt stages of development. 4. This led to adults with trauma from their childhood, strugling to heal while they manoever the storms of adulthood. 5. Society needs to push education on parenting, in order to raise mentally healthy members of society.
MY THOUGHTS on MODERN FEMINISM
1. Patriarchy had oppressed women for centuries. The emergence of feminism movement/ideology was really necessary. 2. It has achieved a lot in ensuringlegal prptection, rights, liberties and opotunities for women. 3. Modern feminism today, as peddled on social media no longer pursues these goals. 4. It now occupies itself with the destruction of the famility institution and hatred of the male gender. 5. True feminism must gain its voice again on social media, or else its message evaporate in the coming generations.
